THANK YOU, RUMBA FOUNDATION OF LONG BEACH!!!

The Cambodia Town Film Festival extends its heartfelt gratitude to the RuMBa Foundation of Long Beach for their generous support! Their sponsorship allows students and seniors to enjoy free admission to our Saturday and Sunday programs, available both at the box office (for limited will-call pickup) and through online reservations. For more information on online ticket reservations, please email us at cambodiatownfilmfestival@gmail.com. Thank you, RuMBa Foundation of Long Beach! Awkun!

The RuMBa Foundation’s name is derived using the last names of their blended family members – Rudy, Molina, & Battiste.  It calls to mind the lighthearted, joyful dance of the same name.

Josephine Molina & Heather Rudy both grew up in Long Beach and attended LBUSD schools and met in High School Drama.

Their goal is to help students access the rich and vibrant community of art and artists in Long Beach.  One of the RuMBa Foundation’s unique offerings is to cover transportation to art experiences off of the school campuses. This may range from a trip to a live performance, museum,  studio, to a trip to art departments of local colleges & universities, especially LBCC & CSULB.  We also make grants to schools to bring in artists and art supplies.

Their mission is to expand access to the arts for children grades K-12 in the Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD).
