CTFF Welcome Its Newest Member: Rithy Hanh

Rithy Hanh was born in Site B Refugee Camp in Thailand. He lived there for 11 years and was
sponsored by his grandparents to come to America in 1992. Rithy currently resides in Long Beach, CA. The 1st in his family to graduate from a university, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biology at
California State University of Long Beach. He currently works as a Service Coordinator at Harbor
Regional Center, a private non-profit organization in Torrance contracting with the State of California for the provision of services to persons with developmental disabilities pursuant to the Lanterman Act.

Rithy join the CTFF Annual Bike Ride to promote the festival and community outreach
Rithy at CTFF’s 2015 ‘Heaven Theme’ Kick-Off Party. His group won 1st Place in the 1st Cambodian Lip Sync Battle that was sponsored by ‘The Nancy Lee Show‘ and he won the Best Costume Contest
Rithy with singer/actress, Sophea Pel open the film ‘The Last Reel‘ at CTFF 2015 by paying homage to the Cambodian classic movie ‘Urn Euy Srey Orn‘ by performing the famous ‘Scarf Song’ that was featured in the Ly Bun Yim’s classic film.
Last year in 2015, Rithy visited Cambodia for the first time.
Rithy marched with CTFF at the 10th Annual Cambodian New Year Parade 2015, in Cambodia Town, Long Beach, CA.
