CTFF 2015 honor DY SAVETH with LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

THE 3RD ANNUAL CAMBODIA TOWN FILM FESTIVAL 2015 HONOR DY SAVETH WITH LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.

Cambodia Town Film Festival co-director, praCh presented Dy Saveth with the CTFF 2015 LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.

Dy Saveth is a renowned Cambodian actress and first Miss Cambodia (1959). She starred in several films throughout the 1960s and at the 19th Asian Movie Awards in Singapore in 1972  she won the Golden Awards for Best Actress in The Snake King’s Wife.

After the Khmer Rouge takeover in 1975, she escaped to France and then to Hong Kong before returning to Cambodia in 1993 where she continues to work as an actress and as an ambassador for Khmer filmmaking.

She appeared in the documentary Golden Slumbers (2011) and she made her stage debut in the play Cambodia, Here I Am (2012). Her latest film, The Last Reel(2014) was selected and making its Long Beach Premiere in this year Cambodia Town Film Festival 2015.
